How to detect fake henna?
Natural henna is always in a range of orange red brown cinnamon brick chocolate or coffee, NEVER in black color. And the ingredients should always be in the description try to always buy 100% natural henna. And to be sure its henna go by the scientific name as: Lawsonia Inermis, Egyptian Privet and Mignonette tree etc. If you are offered henna that’s black it’s usually ppd (para-phenylenediamine) it’s a synthetic coal tar and in can be very harmful. It can leave infections and really awful scar on the skin. There is multiply cases documented were people unfortunately fell victims for this shady treatment. Henna is never black. And there is some distributor’s or artist that claim the black henna comes from a henna stone that’s black, that’s all lies. And stay away. Henna is from a natural tree and never a stone. There isn’t such thing as a henna stone. Henna comes from a tree that’s rooted in the ground, NOT some stone…
